Students & Mentoring
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to hire and support around 20 Cambodian international students while they were studying in Australia.
For many international students, one of the hardest parts isn't a lack of ambition or ability — it's getting that first opportunity to gain experience.
Where I've been able to, I've tried to give students a chance to work, learn, earn and understand how a real workplace operates while continuing their studies.
For me, it has never been about simply giving someone a job. It's about giving them an opportunity to develop experience, confidence and skills that they can take with them wherever they go next.
Where They Went Next
One of the most rewarding parts has been seeing where some of these students have gone through their own hard work.
People I've had the opportunity to work with have since moved into a wide range of careers and businesses. Some have progressed into senior financial accounting roles, while others have built careers in business analysis, ecommerce management and other professional areas.
A few have also taken the entrepreneurial path and gone on to operate their own businesses, including restaurants.
Everyone's path has been different, and their achievements are their own. I'm simply proud to have played a small part in helping some of them get started.
A Chance to Get Started
Sometimes all someone needs is an opportunity to get started.
- A first job.
- Someone willing to teach them.
- A chance to make mistakes and learn.
- A little more responsibility.
- Or simply someone who believes they're capable of more.
I've tried to provide that where I can.
The goal isn't to decide someone's future for them. It's to help give them experience they can use to build their own.

Keeping It Simple
This isn't a formal mentoring organisation or recruitment service.
It's something I've done naturally over the years — sharing what I know, giving people opportunities where possible and helping them navigate some of the challenges of starting out.
I hope to continue doing that as opportunities come along.
